Santa, I've been good all year!

I've made my Santa list and sent it to the North pole. I hope it makes it there in time! I'm anxiously waiting for Christmas day like a child! Santa: please note, I've been very good all year with the hopes of you checking off my list. Here is a sampling of what I want for Christmas:

1: A big girl camera! Canon Rebel XSI

2: Aesthetic Apparatus screen printed posters. Every graphic designer's dream! Yum!

3: "Like I Give A Frock" book by one of my absolute favorite artists!

Keeping my fingers crossed! I'll make sure to leave out LOTS of cookies this year!

Chocolate Covered… BACON?!

I can't decide if this is a good thing or just flat out disgusting! There seems to be a new fad growing in the food industry – adding bacon to just about anything. Yep, now bacon is a universal staple and no longer faithful to just eggs and toast. Bacon is ready to explore new territories: baked in brownies and cookies, and even dipped in chocolate. I've actually heard of a coffee house that adds bacon fat drippings to their coffee. Ironically, they're a Vegan restaurant, but I guess anyone can break the rules for some good ol' bacon lard.

If you're interested in why this makes sense to anyone check out this article on NPR. Even though our taste buds crave sweet and salty combinations, I not sure if I'm ready for bacon ice cream topped with chocolate chips.

Christmas Decorating Dilemma

I'm breaking my tradition this year. It's very hard because this has been in my family for generations. I'm scared my tree won't be the same without it. I bet you're curious now. No, its not ornaments, or lights or presents. I'm banning tinsel this holiday season. Yes, it's old-fashioned, but I love it and don't know otherwise. I'm tired of pulling strands from our crazy kitties' mouths and chasing them to get it. Zoey, the sweet, innocent one – she's not so innocent, she's a KLEPTO! She steals anything she can get in her mouth and RUNS. Runs as fast as her little legs can take her away from me. My predicament is I don't know what to put on my tree now? Any thoughts? Bows, ribbon, garland? I just don't know…
